Lottie Wilson's most famous piece was titled "President Lincoln With A Former Slave."

In 1902 the artist painted her interpretation of the the significant meeting between Sojourner Truth and Abraham Lincoln in 1864. Lottie was invited to present this piece to President Theodore Roosevelt in 1902. The painting then hung in the White House for a time, making her one of the first black artists to have work displayed in the prestigious building.

This painting is one of a only a couple Lottie Wilson pieces still known to be in exsistence.
